Adam Ford is excited to announce the launch of his new book of poems, the science-fiction poetry collection CHOOSING SIDES.
The book will be launched at the Alderman in Brunswick by award-winning poet and playwrigjht Emilie Collyer.. The night will feature Adam reading a selection of poems from the book.
CHOOSING SIDES will be available for sale at a special launch discount price, as well as other books and art.
CHOOSING SIDES features 25 poems written in direct response to individual issues of "Rom", a fan-favourite 1980s comic book that tells the story of a cyborg from space coming to Earth to rescue it from an invasion of shape-changing aliens.
The poems in CHOOSING SIDES zero in on the humanity and emotion in these trope-heavy genre-based stories, fusing the calm strength and eye for detail of the poetic form with the unbridled imagination and thrill-soaked tenor of superhero adventure tales.
A launch is also happening in early May in Castlemaine.
