Responsive Writing Workshop for new & emerging poets

  • Native Garden & Grass Circle, Royal Park The Avenue Parkville, Victoria, 3052 Australia (map)

For novice and emerging writers, this 3-hour workshop introduces methods of writing in response to the senses. Our bodies are constantly fizzing with information about our surroundings; how to tune into it, and record it, as writers?

Using techniques of field writing, the workshop takes place outdoors in Royal Park, Melbourne, and is suitable for adults of all ages. We will work on guided prompts to focus inner and outer attention, generate original language responses to sensations, and write into a radically layered environment. Leave with methods and ideas to carry with you anywhere.
