Slamtidote takes pride in putting the "Lit, in Literature".
A community of primarily ethnic, queer, and femme poets, they are always experimenting with their delivery of poems, spoken work, and more!
A poetry open mic, co hosted by MCs Yasi and Lilia Steele, there will also be musicians providing accompaniment by request.

March 31st Beginner Poetry Writer Worker or Finding your Voice!
This workshop will be delivered by Loran Steinberg and we will be doing a range of reading and writing activities designed to encourage poets to explore a range of writing styles and poetic voices in order to contrast, highlight and explore their own voice and style. These exercises are great for inexperienced poets or poets going through a period of writer's block. It’s also fun and involves a lot of rapid writing exercises. You don’t have to be amazing right off the bat, you just have to put pen to paper.

Hayley is a poet, playwright and slam finalist who we have loved hearing on the open mic. Book Launch - The Heart of the Advocate
Come along and celebrate the launch of Angela Costi’s latest collection of poetry at the Old Magistrates’ Court Melbourne with an afternoon of poetry readings, music and performance.
