Come along and celebrate the launch of Angela Costi’s latest collection of poetry at the Old Magistrates’ Court Melbourne with an afternoon of poetry readings, music and performance.

The Heart of the Advocate (Liquid Amber Press) will be launched by poet Alana Kelsall with reading by Angela Costi accompanied by Nick Tsiavos on double bass. Other performers include Vardos and guest poet Claire Gaskin. The event will be hosted by poet and publisher Rose Lucas.

PoetiCas has been hosting regular poetry gatherings in Castlemaine since 2015, following on the tradition of Ross Donlon's poetry readings in the decade prior. It has grown into a wonderful community and their monthly events are beloved by many.

We were so sad to lose Open Studio last year, but we are so lucky that we have found a venue that is just as grassroots and community focused… the Black Spark Cultural Centre!
