This will be where poetry will be explored as an art form. Any kind of poetry is welcome, including the experimental and surreal. Musicians, hip hop artists, anyone who is willing to push poetic boundaries. It's all about enjoying art in a fun, safe, supportive space. This last month of the year we are featuring Mary Williamson, another Perc.U.lations regular!
Not only has Mary bottle-raised a mountain lion, crewed on a tall ship and been licked by an echidna, but she has raised three children (and they all survived)!
Mary came late to sharing spoken word creations although she credits her love of the Stories of Things to her father and the deeply abiding sense that she had a voice she needed to use.

Yellow Shirt and One Breath book launch
Yellow Shirt is the first posthumous publication
of poems by Judith Rodriguez, who died in 2018. During her last days in hospital she assembled this collection with the
purpose of creating a different kind of poetry book, illustrated with photos by Di Cousens. It will be launched by poet Robyn Rowland.
One Breath is the latest chapbook of poetry and photography by Di Cousens. It will be launched by poet Kevin Brophy.

How did you first hear about Healthbased? Where were you? What were you doing? How did you get there? How did you leave? You can’t remember? Me either, but on the first Monday of every month, I find myself there. I don’t know how I come and don’t know how I go. On Monday 6 May, I’ll be there again.
