Join us for a night of great poetry with Steve Smart . February 16, 6-7 pm. Steve is an icon of the Melbourne scene. Probably there will be a statue of Steve one day near where once was the Dan O'Connell Hotel, scene of many amazing nights of poetry.

He writes.

Steve Smart enjoys learning and trying new things, in a haphazard way. Lately he's been trying his hand at painting, and showtunes, some small sculptures. Last year he put out his first album of songs. Or at least "songs". Ah, but he always comes back to poetry.

Steve is co-host of Cherry Poets in Cremorne, Melbourne’s only weekly poetry gig. He has been on several committees, but he isn’t currently on any, and really couldn’t be happier about not being on any committees. He ran a festival a long time ago. His hair is currently quite pink.
