Poetry from Agitation Hill presents TRIC O'HEARE. Friday July 7 at 6-7pm. Please join us for a night of great poetry. Tric O’Heare’s poetry has appeared in many Australian journals, newspapers and anthologies, and in Irish and New Zealand publications. Her first poetry collection, Tender Hammers, was published by Five Islands Press in 2003, and the chap book, Fear of Umbrellas by MARK TIME BOOKS in 2013. Her collection Marrow (MARK TIME BOOKS, 2021) gathers work written over twenty years. Many of her poems have been shortlisted in international competitions including the ACU Poetry Prize 2020, ACU Poetry Prize 2021 and the Newcastle Poetry Prize 2012 and awarded commendations and places in national competitions. Selected with five other poets for Five Islands Press New Poets Series, she has travelled across Australia, reading from Sydney to Perth and Hobart to Newcastle. O’Heare has also co-authored two books on teaching poetry with poet, Ross Donlon (Blake, 2005).
