Poetry from Agitation Hill (ONLINE) ft. Nola Firth

In 2026 Poetry from Agitation Hill will present poets from all states of Australia, the ACT and two readings (3 poets) from Glasgow in Scotland.

Our next guest will come to us from northern New South Wales.

Please join us for a night of great poetry via zoom from Muurwillumbah, N.S.W. when Poetry from Agitation Hill, on Djarra Country, presents Nola Firth, Friday, February 20th from 6-7pm.

Nola Firth is a retired academic, poet and shire councillor.  In addition to academic publications and a biography, she has published a chapbook and two poetry collections, the latest of which, Spaces Between, was launched last year. Nola has been short-listed for several national poetry prizes, won the Byron Writers Festival Dangerously Poetic Poetry Prize in 2017 and the Rhonda Jancovic Literary Award in 2015. She moved from Victoria to Murwillumbah NSW in 2016 and in 2022 was elected as a Greens Councillor for the Tweed Shire Council..

Nola will read for 20 minutes, followed by the popular QnA, concluding with her encore.

Zoom link opening by 5.45 pm EST

Looking forward to seeing all our supporters from across Australia, and sometimes Europe, for these readings featuring a selection of fine Australian poets and special guests from the UK and Ireland.
