Radio Laria

Radio Laria is a community collective that runs monthly events where poets, writers and storytellers can gather to share their expressions.  Originally part of Girls on Key, Radio Laria prioritises featuring women and women-identifying poets, so as to create much needed opportunities.  We are always actively seeking to feature poets who may not have received the recognition that they deserve. We also enjoy featuring storytellers or performance artists whose creativity gets overlooked by the mainstream entertainment avenues.

Millennium Poets II anthology launch

Connecting the arts and poetry scene of the city through the 1990s to now.
This is a story of longevity and currency in Melbourne's arts scene, particularly the second iteration of an anthology of poets connected to the Millennium Poets scene from the late 90s, in and around Fitzroy. It is also the story of the effort to bring them together again to release a book of their current works, revive the original volume, and launch the new book at the hotel where the scene originally started.

This performance feels like being invited into a living anthology - each piece revealing the quiet pulse of affection that outlasts the moment
