We meet at The Dreaming Space Academy at Yarra Valley ECOSS, Wesburn on the second Friday of the month and welcome you to join us and share your musings.

This in one of our bi-monthly events with a Feature Artist and 8 open mic spots. Mother Tongue is a place for Passionate, Powerful, Vulnerable and Honest performance; it stands aside from most Spoken Word events in its depth and authenticity.

Hello everyone, third Monday of the month is Be Fearless Poetry night!

Why call a gig Be Fearless? It's because I want to present performers whose work the audience would otherwise not experience or for them to see more of. To inspire and expose poets to art or poetic performances they haven't seen before.

There will be open mic of course, plus the famous hospitality of Red Betty!

Celebrate Poetry Month at the Victorian Pride Centre with an evening that uplifts LGBTQIA+ voices and poetic stories. Pride & Poetry brings together LGBTQIA+ poets, performers, and community members for an open mic night in the Forum, creating space for emerging and established voices to share stories and celebrate poetry!

Café Philosophique explores the hidden forces shaping our lives through creative arts, writing and conversation.

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Bridge Hotel in Werribee. We explore a new theme each night through a performance or workshop, feature poet, prompted creative writing, an open mic, and facilitated conversations.

Radio Laria Poetry is dedicated to encouraging women to tell their stories, and this August we will do just that with Phu-Linh Tran and Elaine Fell. The mysterious Phi-Linh is a hilarious and witty poet who creates compelling scenarios that feel so vivid. Elaine is a moving short story writer who is going to pay tribute to her late friend Karen Walters. We will also have ten open mic spots where you can share in front of the magical, shining bookshelves at Library Portal (oppositeno. 11 Hawthorn Rd, Northcote).

PoetiCas has been hosting regular poetry gatherings in Castlemaine since 2015, following on the tradition of Ross Donlon's poetry readings in the decade prior. It has grown into a wonderful community and their monthly events are beloved by many.

Poetry@Chrissy Hills is a bi-monthly poetry reading on the 4th Thursday of the month, 7.30pm

There is a featured reader and the famous open mic. It's held at the Christmas Hills Mechanics' Institute Hall.

Poetry Bauhaus is a fabulous gig set in West Gippsland, Warragul.

La Mama Poetica and Cabaretica come together for the first time to bring you a night of spoken word and performance in the garden.

Radio Laria is a community collective that runs monthly events where poets, writers and storytellers can gather to share their expressions.  Originally part of Girls on Key, Radio Laria prioritises featuring women and women-identifying poets, so as to create much needed opportunities.  We are always actively seeking to feature poets who may not have received the recognition that they deserve. We also enjoy featuring storytellers or performance artists whose creativity gets overlooked by the mainstream entertainment avenues.
