We welcome you to The System Garden at the University of Melbourne for an immersive night of poetry, cabaret and plants, as part of La Mama Theatre's Hope Punk Climate Festival!
La Mama Poetica and Cabaretica come together for the first time to bring you a night of spoken word and performance in the garden.
Melbourne University's Systems Garden, on Wurrundjeri land, is one of Australia’s oldest university teaching gardens. It was created as a living classroom of plant classification and evolution.
Arrive at La Mama HQ (205 Faraday St, Carlton) at 5:30pm for a pre-show drink, then walk with us or meet us at the Garden at 6.00pm.
Please note this event is outdoors so prepare for weather (wet weather contingency in place).
Your poets for the evening are: Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr storyteller Dakota Feirer (NSW), Anne Elvey and Eartha Davis.
This is event is free of charge, but bookings are required.
