Good afternoon everyone! We've got two bits of good news - firstly, Cherry Poets is on this Saturday! (It's always on, and that's good news too). And secondly - we have for our feature none other than that fine poet, ALANA KELSALL! Alana agreed at very short notice, proving that she is not only a fine poet, but a very nice person, too. And in a third bit of good news (because we decided that two bits of good news just aren't enough), we have our regular OPEN MIC, which means that you are ALL invited to bring your own works to the stage. Yes, it's shaping up to be a good poeting session this Saturday, with some of the nicest people Melbourne has to offer, from 1.30 pm (for a 2pm start), so we look forward to seeing you all there.
ABOUT THE FEATURE:
Alana Kelsall grew up on a farm and now lives on unceded Wurundjeri country. She was runner-up in the June Shenfield Poetry Award 2023 and shortlisted for the ACU Poetry Prize: Love. She has recently been longlisted for the 2024 Liquid Amber Poetry Prize.
