Attention, good people of the world! Whether you be Hamburgers, Veggie Burgers, or just plain-old-Burghers of the town of Melbourne, let it be known that feature at Cherry Poets this weekend is none other than the illustrious, illuminated, and fantastical EDDY BURGER. Fresh from performing his POO OPERA at the Festival of Surrealisms 2024, he'll be bringing some of his very weird, and absolutely wonderful, words to the Cherry Tree stage. Get your own poems ready - your MC for the afternoon will be the excellent PAULA DARVAS, and there'll be plenty of time on the open mic for you to share your own poetical oddities and oddments. 1.30 for a 2pm start!

Eddy Burger is a writer of funny and experimental performance poetry, stories, novels, plays and zines. He has been published in plenty of journals and had collections published by the MPU and Small Change Press. He’s been a regular spoken word feature since the mid 90s and once won the fringe spoken word award. He is wrapped to be featuring at cherry poets. He will be presenting much weird-arse poetry as well as excerpts from his notorious Poo Opera.
