To The Ends Of The 'Verse November

  • Open Studio 204 High Street Northcote, VIC, 3070 Australia (map)

To The Ends of the 'Verse is a casual poetry night for people to share their works or the works of others. Sharing very new or rough drafts is certainly encouraged and no prior poetry experience is required. Our band, O'Stanger-Tang! offer up freestyle jams and improvised vocals, this night is very welcoming and wholesome

We ask that you do not attend our event if you have any cold or flu symptoms. Even if it is not covid, it can still be contagious and we can care for each other by minimising the spread of viruses.

As this is an open mic event, we do not know the content that will be shared on the night. People of all ages are welcome to share something on the open mic.

COST: $5

ACCESSIBILITY: When entering the venue, the stage area where the open mic poets and band performs is immediately on the right of the door. You need to travel through the seated audience with a narrow walkway to access the bar. Behind the bar is the beer garden, smoking area and toilets. There is a small step at the doorway entrance, the walkway between seats is normally quite narrow with very little room to turn around if you're on wheels! The cubicle toilets (outside, in the beer garden/smoking area) all have steps before accessing them.

The audience tends to be attentive to the open mic poets so the poets voice in the microphone is the main sound. The band sets are quite loud as there are drums and amplifiers, plus multiple vocalists on microphones.
