It is that time of month once again folks!! Where we settle in for the upcoming Mixed Bag Naarm (huzzahhhh!!)

This month we are lucky enough to have the incredible Skylar Klease as our feature act! (Who was also kind enough to put together this fabulous poster in my time of need).

Skylar is an emerging multi-disciplinary creative, living and working on Wurundjeri country. Their creative pursuits range from poetry, filmmaking, djing, graphic design, art direction, photography, journalism, and songwriting.

Skylar is inspired by writers Li Young Lee, Allen Ginsberg, Annie Ernaux and Caleb Azumah Nelson. Her writing is self-reflexive, self-referential and written with a sense of musicality and rhythm. Their poetry often explores themes of love, self-discovery, nature, spirituality, and music.

For them, writing is carthasis and an attempt to rescue meaning, out of an overabundance of being.
