Join us again on the 8th of Feb for the monthly Mixed Bag Naarm! MBN is the sister event to Mixed Bag Adelaide, and is a monthly Spoken Word open mic, with a dedicated guest feature act at each event.

Mixed Bag is a queer event, designed to give those who may not have traditionally had as much of a chance to speak up, to do so. If you have never shared your work at a spoken word open mic before, Mixed Bag will likely be for you!.

This month we are lucky enough to have the incredible Waffle Iron Girl joining us as a feature! Waffle or (Es) is no stranger to the spoken word community, having performed at the the Queensland Poetry Festival in 2022 and Canberra Poetic City 2023 it is easy to see why Es is so sought after. Their jarringly poignant words will bring you to a standstill in the face of art, and take you on a journey you are sure to remember.

So feel free to join us next month, bring your friends or come alone (Mixed Bag is the perfect place to make new pals) and please feel free to be brave and share your words in the open mic segment of the night. Signup is at the door! Hope to see you all there(:
