Jason Stoneking does Passionate Tongues Poetry

  • The Brunswick Green 313 Sydney Road Brunswick, VIC, 3056 Australia (map)

Hello everyone, next Tuesday is a special occasion for Passionate Tongues Poetry with a feature artist from USA via Paris!

This is an opportunity to see a world-class writer and performer that only happens rarely. here is his bio:

Jason Stoneking is a poet, diarist, and performer originally from the United States, who has made his home in Paris. He has published several collections of poetry and essays, and has been performing his art and writing live for more than 25 years, at venues ranging from the main stage at Lollapalooza to the Pont Neuf in Paris and the rooftops of Cairo. Recently, his practice has concentrated on the creation of handwritten and site-specific texts. For his Bespoke Books series, he writes an entire unique book by hand, in a single draft, for an individual reader, an event, or a residency, then reads it live only a single time. On October 1st, he will be reading a brand new Bespoke Book written specifically for Passionate Tongues!

That's right, a book produced specifically for Passionate Tongues!
There will be open mic of course, and the famous hospitality of The Brunswick Green. See you there.
