Hello everyone, next Tuesday is Poetic Express night and I'm excited to tell you the featured artist is the very accomplished wordsmith and performer Andrew Cox.
He's in Melbourne for a short time only and we are lucky enough to have him at Poetic Express. Here is his bio:

Andrew Cox is a proud Filipino/Australian who lives and works on Ngunnawal & Ngambri country, and is the current creative producer of the Canberra Poetry Slam.
His work crosses boundaries, performing in high schools as well as major Australian wide competitions, to spoken word theatre productions, to more recently being featured internationally for the 2023 Singapore Writers Festival.
Andrew's work has been shortlisted for national writing prizes, notably for Innovation in Spoken Word and his writing published in multiple anthologies, recognised as an emerging voice in Australian poetry.

There will be open mic of course, and a raffle to reward our feature, and the famous hospitality of The Brothers Public House.

The venue is usually closed on a Tuesday, But our host Vinnie will open up specially for us.
