Anna Fern is our featured poet this month, Saturday April 26th. 2.30pm at The Coolroom at The Northern Arts Hotel

Anna Fern has been published in various journals and anthologies, including The Best Australian Poems. She’s also written over a dozen non-fiction books for children. She brings a playful mix of spoken word, sound and song to the stage. She is experimental yet down-to-earth. She enjoys living in Altona between Truganina Swamp and the petrol refinery.

PoetiCas has been hosting regular poetry gatherings in Castlemaine since 2015, following on the tradition of Ross Donlon's poetry readings in the decade prior. It has grown into a wonderful community and their monthly events are beloved by many.

The usual format brings a featured reader to share their work, as well as an open section for the community to share their own original poems in a warm and supportive space, MC'd by a local poet and publisher . All are welcome to attend, to read or just to listen.

Open Section as usual, 3 minutes per reader.
