PoetiCas monthly gathering with Nathan Curnow

PoetiCas has been hosting regular poetry gatherings in Castlemaine since 2015. Our monthly events have become a cherished part of the community. Regular monthly gatherings include a featured poet and an open mic segtion, which you register your interest on arrival.

Our guest reader for September is Nathan Curnow

Nathan is a poet and spoken word performer who lives and writes on the traditional lands of the Wathaurong people in Ballarat. He is the author of six poetry collections, with his work being widely anthologised and awarded over the last twenty-five years. As a judge he has adjudicated for the Newcastle Poetry Prize, the Woorilla and the MPU International Poetry Prize, among others. He has taught creative writing at Federation University and toured Europe in 2018, opening the Heidelberg Literary Days Festival in Germany.

His new book 'A Hill to Die On' is now available through Liquid Amber Press.
