Jennifer Compton lives in Melbourne and is all over the shop when it comes to poetry. Her work has appeared in The Best Australian Poems 2004 2005 2008 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2017. And was included in the anthology of Spoken Word, Solid Air, that was published by UQP in 2019. She is an extremely keen open-miker (just one poem, that's a doddle) but she also likes the longer set where she can relax and build a narrative. Recent Work Press in Canberra published her 11th book of poetry – 'the moment, taken' – in 2021.
