This March, Radio Laria is featuring the super-cool, jazzy Libby Charlton and the rabble rousing, goth-punk Annemarie Bowman. These poet friends convened and MCed the Dan poets, inspiring and creating opportunities for poets across Melbourne and beyond. Their creative energy continues to flow, and we cannot wait to hear what they been writing lately. We also have a thriving open mic where poets, writers and story tellers of all kinds are encouraged to share their work. It’s going to be a night of style, sass, surprises, and laughs. Tickets are $10 or $5 and are available from:
https://www.stickytickets.com.au/TBYT7
We also sell tickets on the door but please note, we only accept cash.
Doors open 7pm and the live poetry kicks off at 7:30.
Our venue Open Studio (204 High St, 3070) is a Northcote institution for culturally amazing gigs.
For the open mic it’s sign up on the night, and a 5-minute limit. The audience is very supportive and we welcome new readers. Men are welcome to read on the open mic, but please be mindful that this is a night to promote women’s poetry and we ask that you behave respectfully. Come along and join this warm, vibrant poetry community and don’t forget about Open Studio’s yummy crepes!
