This May, Radio Laria has two remarkable feminist poets: Claire Gaskin and Kathleen Mary Fallon. Claire is the author of three poetry collections including the powerful, beautiful and confronting "Eurydice Speaks". Kathleen Mary Fallon is a poet, novelist and short story writer who has won the Victoria Premier’s award for her novel "Working Hot". This is an evening that will inspire and challenge. Come to listen or be heard yourself on the open mic (10 spots available, sign up on the night). Tickets are $10 (full) or $5 (concession) and are available from:

We will have tickets on the door too, but please note we only accept cash.
Doors open 7pm and the live poetry kicks off at 7:30.
Our venue Open Studio (204 High St, 3070) is a Northcote institution for culturally amazing gigs.
For the open mic it’s sign up on the night, and a 5-minute limit. The audience is very supportive and we welcome new readers. Men are welcome to share on the open mic, but please be mindful that this is a night to promote women’s poetry and we ask that you behave respectfully. Come along and join this warm, vibrant poetry community and don’t forget about Open Studio’s yummy crepes!
