Sarah is a prize-winning poet, producer, and educator from the Northern Rivers NSW. Her writing is concerned with revealing our hidden selves, and ranges from personal confessions to reclaimed fairy tales. With a background in education, she has taught poetry to hundreds of people from ages 8 to 89, and now runs a regional arts initiative (Poets Out Loud) to empower voices of all ages. Arriving after twenty years of performing live, Tight Bindings is her first published collection.

Her poetry appears in Best of Australian Poems, Australian Poetry Anthology, Cordite, Meniscus and more. She has been a finalist three times for the Arts Queensland XYZ Prize for Innovation in Spoken-Word. She is the winner of The Bunker Spoken-Word Prize 2021 and the Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup 2019. Sarah has featured at Byron Writers Festival, Kyogle Writers Festival, Indie Festival Maitland, National Folk Festival, and more.
