Valley Youth Fest is a Music Festival with an Empowerment, Mind & Body Seminar celebrating Body Image & Eating Disorders Awareness week.

YVSW is proud to present our Feature Youth Poet Neesha Shimmen and invites all Youth Poets to speak and share their Spoken Words in The Dome.

Neesha grew up in the Yarra valley and has a deep connection to the land and community of this area. Neesha enjoys the art of poetry and is fascinated by the way words can be used to communicate messages. Writing poetry since childhood - as a medium to channel creativity, Neesha is an artist, yoga instructor and physiotherapist. She loves connecting with other people and feels that we are all part of nature, so naturally feels most alive when immersed in the natural landscape. Neesha loves the way words can be woven together to paint a feeling of flow; where intelligence and playfulness dance together. Neesha enjoys sharing poetry in a way that invites people into the experience and hopes to share poetry that inspires excitement and inspiration.
