Hello everyone, third Monday of the month is Be Fearless Poetry night!
Why call a gig Be Fearless? It's because I want to present performers whose work the audience would otherwise not experience or for them to see more of. To inspire and expose poets to art or poetic performances they haven't seen before.
This is a big one. Not only do we have Tej Munu as our featured artist but we also have a showcase of acts from the upcoming Festival Of Surrealisms in which is coming up in March!
Tej has been entertaining comedy audiences for a number of years and lately has been illuminating the poetry stages around town. He turns his love of language Ito a celebration of poetry that will hit your heart and make you laugh at the same time.
The Festival Of Surrealisms has become a Melbourne icon for many years and March 14 and 15 will see poets, playwrights, comics, puppeteers and other artists celebrate the absurdities of life. There will be spots by Festival artists, including Helchild, DW Phoenix, Jonathan Griffiths, Katie Lohner, Laura Fisher, Steve Smart, Eddy Burger, Anna Fern... and the Director himself, Bill Marshall.
There will be open mic of course, and the famous hospitality of the fabulousest venue around, Red Betty.
