Perc.U.Lations ft. Jez P.A. Speelman

  • Dandenong Library 225 Lonsdale Street Dandenong, VIC, 3175 Australia (map)

Greetings all Perc.U.lators!

Three Perc.U.lations are left for the year!

Our October Poetry and Spoken Word event will be held on Saturday the 10th, at Dandenong Library, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Let's make October optimal! Overmost! Optimum? Are there any better superlatives beginning with 'O'? Alliteratives need to know.

In any case, please welcome our outstanding October feature!

Jez P.A. Speelman is a strange creature, often glimpsed loitering between dimensions at various arts, literary, and performance events. This curious imp is known for conjuring sonic disturbances, weaving portals from stray poems, and assuming peculiar identities purely for his own entertainment. Reports place him mostly in Naarm/Melbourne, though there have been whispers of sightings elsewhere. Some say Jez P.A. Speelman is merely a fictional character or folie à deux. Don’t be alarmed if spotted — he’s mostly harmless and occasionally quite amusing.

If you'd like to attend the poetry workshop beforehand, I'll be holding it in the library to avoid the winter weather. The workshop will start at 1pm and last until 2 pm. At that point, I'll be setting up the event space on the library's ground floor.

Do consider wandering past The Nong Cafe for a quick bite or a takeaway coffee! There are other great food and drink venues around as well.

Additional Information:

The Dandenong Library is a public space, and many young people and families visit on the weekend.
