Perc.U.Lations ft. Fiona Williams

  • Dandenong Library 225 Lonsdale Street Dandenong, VIC, 3175 Australia (map)

Welcome to our home in the Dandenong Library. There is both free and paid parking around the library, and the Dandenong Train Station is quite close as well.

Our Poetry and Spoken Word events will be held there on the second Saturday of each month from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

If you'd like to attend the poetry workshop beforehand, I'll be holding it in the library to avoid the winter weather. The workshop will start at 1pm and last until 2 pm. At that point, I'll be setting up the event space on the library's ground floor.

Do consider wandering past The Nong Cafe for a quick bite or a takeaway coffee! There are other great food and drink venues around as well.

Fiona Williams has used poetry since a young age as a vehicle within which to cathartically process her experiences and emotions and as a way to reflect her musings on various topics.

It is not until recently, however, that Fiona has discovered the spoken word scene and has greatly enjoyed sharing her pieces amongst the community at Perculations.

Fiona has recently self-published two books:
A Daughter's Gift and Kaleidoscope.

A Daughter's Gift reflects the poet's Christian faith and showcases a variety of spiritual poems which reveal her heart for God.

Poems within this collection provide a refreshing and honest view about what it means to walk as a Christian.

Within her second book, Kaleidoscope, Williams presents poems as shifting in perspective, as its title suggests.

Readers will encounter a diverse range of topics for contemplation both through the poet's own lived experiences and through the lens of her created characters.

There are poems within this collection to make the reader laugh, and others cry, but all are written with hope of leaving a lasting impact long after the page has been turned.

Fiona works as a Retail Director at Specsavers Malvern.
