Yarra Valley Spoken Word Friday 10th July 2026: Marcus Albe Draper

Please join us in welcoming one of our younger community members to his first time as Feature Poet of Yarra Valley Spoken Word!

Marcus was born and raised in the unique landscape of the Yarra Valley where its natural values rubbed off on him and inspired him to participate in the conservation of this natural environment we share.

 Marcus' other passion is speaking. Since being in primary school and given the opportunity to speak in front of a crowd, Marcus has felt a drive to share his, at times, irreverent and at others, striking performances, looking to colour the many shades of being.

And so with that, as our Fabulous Feature Poet in July 2026, Marcus is going to share his personal journey of discovery through the trials and tribulations of growing up in the here and now.
