We are a'buzz with excitement to present poet, writer and podcast host Magan Magan this Saturday at Cherry Poets. He's really quite terrific, you definitely do not want to miss this one. And but of course there will be open mic, sign up from 1.30pm. Show kicks off at 2pm.
Magan Magan is an ex-Muslim writer and poet. He is the author of ‘From Grains to Gold’ (Vulgar Press, 2018) and has co-edited the anthologies ‘Growing Up African in Australia’ and the ‘Australian Poetry Anthology’. His poems and fiction have appeared in ‘Cordite Poetry Review’, Plumwood Mountain Journal’, Stilts Journal, ‘The Lifted Brow’, and ‘The Saturday Paper’, among others. He was a Hot Desk Fellow at the Wheeler Centre. Magan is also the host of the ‘Inner Self Rising’ podcast, a show for free thinkers focused on self-development and living authentically. His latest book, ‘Stop The Clocks’ (Verity La La, 2024) is out now
