Greetings Poetry lovers!

The 7th annual Poetryspective RetroSlam is upon us.

Saturday November 23rd.

The slam where entrants recite poems by another poet who inspires them!

Celebrating worlds of words, bringing their favourite spoken word artists to the stage in this retrospective style recital challenge.

Who will win the Poetryspective Discotini and People’s Choice Award for 2024?

Plus our poetry feature Paul Mitchell will entertain and wow us all.

Retroslam Rules

There will be two rounds.

Entrants must read/recite two poems written by another poet. It can be any poet.

The best readings will make it through to the second round.

In the second round entrants must read a different poem written by the dame poet they chose for the first round.

The time limit is 3 mins per poem.

Three winners will be chosen from the second round.

There will be three Judges
