Café Philosophique explores the hidden forces shaping our lives through creative arts, writing and conversation.

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Bridge Hotel in Werribee. We explore a new theme each night through a performance or workshop, feature poet, prompted creative writing, an open mic, and facilitated conversations.

Smooth talkers, slick walkers, gather round for a night of linguistic subtlety and sultry word play. Vibe Union presents: Chaotic Musings; with the guidance of poet & MC Jason Voss, we'll be talking a journey through words and experiences. Whether you’re a rapper, poet, spoken word enthusiast who put words to the page but never performed, this stage is for you. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged!

Maybe you've written a book, or five. Maybe you've got a short story, a poem, a comedy routine or an interpretative dance that you wish to share with a support audience. Everyone and anyone is welcome.

Assorted Sporks is a queer friendly regular poetry and performance night at Mamma Chen's, feature, theme and open mic.

Assorted Sporks alternates every two weeks with Musical Sporks.

Radio Laria is a community collective that runs monthly events where poets, writers and storytellers can gather to share their expressions.  Originally part of Girls on Key, Radio Laria prioritises featuring women and women-identifying poets, so as to create much needed opportunities.  We are always actively seeking to feature poets who may not have received the recognition that they deserve. We also enjoy featuring storytellers or performance artists whose creativity gets overlooked by the mainstream entertainment avenues.

PoetiCas has been hosting regular poetry gatherings in Castlemaine since 2015, following on the tradition of Ross Donlon's poetry readings in the decade prior. It has grown into a wonderful community and their monthly events are beloved by many.
