Hello everyone, third Monday of the month is Be Fearless Poetry night!
Why call a gig Be Fearless? It's because I want to present performers whose work the audience would otherwise not experience or for them to see more of. To inspire and expose poets to art or poetic performances they haven't seen before.
There will be open mic of course, plus the famous hospitality of Red Betty!

Café Philosophique explores the hidden forces shaping our lives through creative arts, writing and conversation.
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Bridge Hotel in Werribee. We explore a new theme each night through a performance or workshop, feature poet, prompted creative writing, an open mic, and facilitated conversations.

PoetiCas has been hosting regular poetry gatherings in Castlemaine since 2015, following on the tradition of Ross Donlon's poetry readings in the decade prior. It has grown into a wonderful community and their monthly events are beloved by many.

Anne Gleeson grew up on Eastern Maar country on a Soldier Settlement farm between Camperdown and Derrinallum in the Western District of Victoria. She is a writer of essays and prize-winning poetry, published in books, journals and newspapers.

We are excited and thrilled to be featuring the heart-wrenching Amy Bodossian and the passionate Vasi Samudra Devi! Amy is an outstandingly talented poet, songbird, cabaret star and comic who loves and is well-loved, by Radio Laria. Vasi Samudra Devi is an artist, poet, theatre maker, activist and dedicated step-mum with a boundless energy to resist and create. Vasi will treating us to her spoken word and art (with the help of the projector…) We are equally excited to get our open mic flowing and everyone is welcome to share (ten spots available, five-minute limit, sign up on the night, and arriving early is recommended for sign up).
